Tile Blush is pleased to present The Discarded Body, a solo exhibition by Anna Vickers. The Discarded Body will be on view from October 17 – November 14, 2020.
The Discarded Body is a solo exhibition of paintings by the artist Anna Vickers. Vickers draws from the history of the female nude and its critique to make paintings that utilise qualities prominent in the historical canon of painting. These include form, light, and gesture; and themes such as the sublime, romantic, and individual. Vickers coins the term “discarded body” to pose how these qualities can be relevant after the period in which the canon of art history and the female nude at its center have been challenged.
The exhibition will be held at the studio of Jason Galbut located at 255 NE 69th Street, Unit D, Miami, FL 33138. Open by appointment on Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. For appointments please email: office@tileblush.com
