APRIL 24 — JUNE 5, 2021
Demo(s): Levels&Bosses
A solo exhibition by Leo Castañeda
Tile Blush is pleased to present Demo(s): Levels&Bosses, a solo exhibition by Leo Castañeda. Demo(s): Levels&Bosses will be on view from April 24 to June 5, 2021, with an opening reception for the artist to be held on Saturday, April 24 from 6 - 9 p.m. The Offsite exhibition will be held at the studio of Jason Galbut located at 255 NE 69th Street, Miami, FL 33138.
Mutating between analog and digital, Demo(s) renders worlds where landscapes, technology, and entities all share sentience and interconnection. A solo exhibition of paintings, video, and sculpture, Demo(s) traverses sci-fi gaming environments inspired by 18th-century Romantic painting, Latin American abstraction, and the liminal landscapes of Colombia and the Brazilian Amazon. A prototype for Levels&Bosses, a video game following The-Other on a quest to understand their power after a cataclysmic explosion, Demo(s) is part of a greater body of work exploring post-human anatomies and interactions through transmedia mythology.
Levels&Bosses Demo(s) interactive game is made possible with support from Locust Projects – Wavemaker grants, and Oolite Arts - The Ellies.
