Tile Blush is pleased to present Living Well, a solo exhibition by Brian Rideout. Living Well will be on view from December 3, 2021, to January 15, 2022, with an opening reception for the artist to be held on Friday, December 3 from 7 - 10 p.m. The exhibition will be held at 3736 NW 50th Street, Miami, FL 33142.
This new presentation of Rideout’s work offers a new extension/iteration of his American Collection Paintings series, a series that acts as painted documentation of art collections in homes, sourced from print and digital images, which functions as a larger anthology of art as an intimate status symbol, or of art objects as stark portraiture.
Living Well presents more recent contemporary collections, as well as introducing images of the homes of well-known artists/designers exploring the role of the collector as curator. The scale of Rideout’s new paintings are a direct reference and reflection on the genre of history painting and grand portraiture.
