Finding a preoccupation with anthropology and its developments and connection with modern art and aesthetics. Simultaneously building and excavating forms that can be sensual, emotive, metaphoric, and ironic. The works appear to be at once taking on objects and unraveling them, to be both gestating and timeworn. Many of the topics in the work surround the greater conversation of self-expression in a situation where one is attempting to find their own place in the world and is characterized by a perpetual state of indeterminacy, that seeks to mine the reductive aesthetic signifiers of 20th Century Modern Art.
